The head of the Alternative for Germany party, Schröbala, backtracks on the demand to abolish the Euro
The leader of the Alternative for Germany party, Tino Schruppala, has backtracked on the party’s fundamental demand to abolish the Euro. This contradicts the current stance of the European election program.
The European Elections Association is taking place in the city of Magdeburg this week and the following weekend. During this event, the party will determine its list for the European Parliament.
The leader of the Alternative for Germany party, Tino Schröpfer, also backed down from the party’s primary demand to abolish the Euro. In an interview with RTD TV, he stated that the Alternative for Germany party wants a stable currency, just like the German Mark used to be.
If it is possible with the Euro, the party will also support the Euro.
This contradicts the current demand for the European Election Program, where the document indicates that states can only regain sovereignty over their economic and financial policies through national currencies, and the return to the German mark is also an idea founded by the Alternative for Germany party.
The party puts forward a list for the European elections
Delegates are gathering in the city of Magdeburg this week and next weekend to continue the European Election Assembly. On Saturday, they elected the European Deputy from Saxony, Maximilian Kraus, to the position of the top candidate.
In the German Parliament, Peter Bistron, a representative from Bavaria, came in second place. Additionally, Rene Oust, a representative from the state of Thuringia, was elected with 67.8% of the vote, representing the Alternative for Germany party, and secured the third position. In his candidacy speech, he warned that European civilization is in danger due to mass migration.
On Sunday, the delegates elected Arno Biusimer from Altemark with 86.7% of the votes to the tenth position. In his candidacy speech, Biusimer criticized the European Union for what he perceived as excessive regulations and prohibitions.
“He stated that the European Union is not functioning and rejected plans to phase out cars powered by internal combustion engines.”
Consequently, the Alternative for Germany party has occupied the top seats on its list for the European elections with one exception, where politicians struck racist and anti-European chords in their candidacy speeches.
The Federal Office has set a target to identify at least 30 candidates for the European elections. To achieve this, the Alternative for Germany party will meet again in the city of Magdeburg at the end of this weekend. During the meeting, the party will also adopt its European electoral program.
